Overview The Search Director is responsible for leading the agency’s Search practice, ensuring operational excellence, developing talent, driving revenue growth, and elevating the agency’s expertise in paid search. The role combines strategic oversight, people leadership, client impact, and cross‑department collaboration to deliver high‑performing search activation across the board.
Responsibilities Lead the Search team with full ownership of operations, workflow, and delivery quality.
Manage capacity, timesheets, holiday planning, and resource allocation, proactively removing blockers.
Train, mentor, and develop team members to grow expertise, autonomy, and overall performance.
Improve ways of working and processes to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.
Ensure balanced workload distribution and smart assignment of client portfolios.
Develop new Search products and methodologies to strengthen the agency’s offering and revenue potential.
Manage the Search team’s P&L, optimizing resources and profitability.
Identify and pursue revenue opportunities, contribute to pitches, and support new business.
Recruit and onboard Search talent that aligns with strategic needs.
Maintain strong relations with partners like Google, Microsoft, and Apple to secure insights, support, and early access.
Ensure agency and team certifications are maintained and up to date.
Share benchmarks, best practices, and product updates across the team and clients.
Coordinate Search initiatives within the Publicis Groupe for aligned and consistent activation.
Deliver innovative Search solutions that exceed expectations and drive measurable client impact.
Qualifications Demonstrated leadership in Search with proven ability to manage teams, workload, and operational processes.
Strong expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Shopping, P‑Max, and Search automation.
Ability to manage financial performance, including P&L responsibility.
Skilled communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate Search products and methodologies.
Comfortable mentoring, coaching, and developing experts.
Excellent relationship building with partners and cross‑department teams.
Fluent in Dutch or French, and English.
