Responsibilities
You take charge of new data problems and sit together with stakeholders to clearly identify the problem and translate it into clear analysis questions and hypotheses to test.
You autonomously lead and drive insights projects with data and business stakeholders and take ownership of your scope.
You lead discussions with senior business stakeholders.
You translate business needs to data/insights questions and reporting needs.
Based on the question, you select the appropriate analytics technique and dive into the data to find the answers.
You work with our team members to fit all the learnings together, find the bigger story and patterns and initiate the next steps.
You synthesize complex insights into easy to understand and actionable recommendations that resonate with stakeholders.
You create Powerpoint reports for various audiences, building clear & visually attractive slides.
You construct compelling data stories, turning insights into clear and actionable stories.
You guide and influence decision making based on facts and not merely opinions.
You challenge the status quo and find new or better ways to answer questions.
You coach, inspire and share best practices to individuals and teams so we all keep growing and learning.
Qualifications
A positive & constructive mindset to collaborate effectively with the team and stakeholders from various teams, both from a business and a more analytical background, strong stakeholder management skills.
Critical thinking and a problem‑solving and result‑driven mindset.
Strong analytical and structuring skills.
A drive to manage an analytics initiative end to end.
Very good presentation and storytelling skills (both orally and written).
The ability to rise above the specifics of a particular situation and see the bigger picture.
A Master’s degree that trained you in a relevant domain (Economics, Business Engineering, Statistics, Quantitative Social Sciences or equivalent).
A minimum of five years of professional or academic experience as a data analyst, data scientist or equivalent role.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques (classification, clustering, regression, …).
A hands‑on mentality to really dive into the data and find the answers.
Strong data skills with knowledge of at least one coding language (Python, R …). The willingness to learn Python, Pyspark and SQL if not yet proficient.
Strong Powerpoint skills, hands‑on experience with PPT Productivity and ThinkCell is a plus.
Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch/French is a bonus.
