The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for partnering with the Store Manager to successfully build sales, identify opportunities, and develop clients via CRM and service initiatives, coaching and counseling of staff.
Main Activities
* Drive Business Performance
o Drive store's sales performance through the sales team and in collaboration with the store manager
o Identify and develop client development opportunities for the store
o Coach the team to provide a consistent level of personalized service to all clients and create long-term relationships
o Maintain own client portfolio
o Support the store manager in preparing buying sessions
o Make critical client decisions and run the business during Store Manager absence
* Client Experience
o Manage the shop floor to ensure the best possible service level at all times
o Be an ambassador of Hermès: demonstrate active presence on the sales floor, show exemplarity and excellence in all client interactions
o Support sales teams in managing challenging situations
o Manage in- and out-of-store client events and experiences
* Team Animation
o Train and motivate sales associates to achieve best performance within Hermès standards and development needs
o Cultivate a strong collaborative spirit and supportive team atmosphere where everyone is treated with respect
o Oversee team’s development by providing on-the-job training, product training, soft skills training, etc.
o Perform yearly appraisals for the team
o Assist in maintaining a candidate database for store recruitment and interviewing to fill open positions
o Integrate new entrants by sharing the Hermès spirit, quality and service expectations
* Operations & Administrative Support
o Support the Store Manager in projects and administrative tasks
o Provide inputs and assist Boutique manager in management reports
o Organize and facilitate daily morning briefing with Store Manager for related topics
o Ensure respect of all company policies
Profile
* At least 10 years of high end retail experience
* 3 to 5 years of managerial experience
* Strong team building, interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to lead and drive team performance and customer service
* Good customer relationship management skills
* Strong business sense with good analytical skills
* Ability to interpret sales data and translate into effective business recommendations
* Problem solving capabilities
* Strong team player

* Flexible in work availability as business needs dictate
* Fluent in Dutch and English. French is an asset
