The Project Manager leads the daily delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring that each project is executed efficiently and aligns with organizational goals. This role orchestrates end-to-end delivery across multiple teams and departments that contribute to the initiative.
Responsibilities:
* Define and support project governance to enable efficient delivery across all involved teams.
* Maintain control over delivery activities, ensuring compliance with IT controls, and manage project risks.
* Contribute to operationalizing benefit management within the initiative.
To achieve these goals, the Project Manager:
* Manages stakeholders to ensure that delivery teams receive the right information, requirements, guidance, and validation.
* Interfaces with portfolios, product owners, and contributing teams to keep the project roadmap relevant, prioritized, and feasible.
* Ensures coordination and synchronization of project features and milestones across all involved teams.
* Participates in quarterly business reviews and quality planning processes, prepares for these reviews, and follows up on outcomes.
* Reports on project progress, champions the initiative throughout its lifecycle, and ensures capacity, funding, and prioritization.
* Acts as the interface between portfolio governance and delivering teams.
Operational Scope:
* Oversees full delivery teams across all contributing departments.
* Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of designated initiatives.
Vision and Objectives Alignment:
* Maintains focus on the intended outcomes of the initiative.
* Supports and reviews the project's vision and objectives throughout its lifecycle.
Governance and Reporting:
* Reports project progress to relevant stakeholders.
* Serves as a liaison between portfolio governance and delivery teams, providing evidence of good governance practices when requested.
* Co-presents dashboards and risk assessments to governance bodies as needed.
Lifecycle Management:
* Ensures that project features are created, prioritized, and continuously maintained, collaborating closely with architects, analysts, and product owners.
* Manages the evolution of the project roadmap, supporting refinement related to non-functional requirements, dependencies, and business value creation.
* Assists in managing changes to scope, cost, timing, or prioritization, ensuring such changes are considered against their impact on the business case and risk profile.
