Remote / Freelance Opportunity
Are you a seasoned geopolitical strategist with deep roots in transatlantic affairs? We're a dynamic advisory firm specializing in international policy analysis, and we're expanding our network of on-demand experts. We're looking for a freelance Geopolitical Advisor to deliver timely, insightful briefings on emerging global trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-demand briefings in writing on trending geopolitical issues, with a focus on transatlantic relations between Europe, North America, and key allies.
- Analyze political dynamics, including alliance interactions, policy shifts, diplomatic negotiations, and security challenges (e.g., NATO developments, trade tensions, or responses to global crises like energy security and tech regulations).
- Offer strategic insights drawn from real-time events, leveraging your expertise to forecast implications for businesses, institutions, and NGOs.
- Collaborate remotely on ad-hoc projects, delivering concise, actionable intelligence in a briefing format.
Required Expertise and Qualifications:
- Rich Experience in Transatlantic Relations: 10+ years in geopolitics, diplomacy, or international affairs, with proven track record advising on US-EU relations, Brexit aftermath, or cross-Atlantic security pacts.
- Established Network in Political Bubbles: Strong connections within Washington D.C., Brussels, London, and Berlin policy circles—think tanks (e.g., Brookings, Atlantic Council), government agencies, or international organizations. You should be able to tap into insider perspectives for nuanced analysis.
- Areas of Interest: Deep knowledge in political dynamics, state interactions, multilateral forums, election impacts, and emerging threats (e.g., US foreign policy, EU internal cohesion, or transatlantic responses to global challenges).
- Skills: Exceptional analytical writing and verbal communication; ability to distill complex issues into clear, evidence-based briefings. Experience in risk assessment or scenario planning is a plus.
- Freelance Flexibility: Availability for on-demand engagements, with compensation based on briefing scope and quality.
This is a fully remote, freelance role—perfect for independent consultants, former diplomats, or international relations professionals seeking flexible, impactful work. No full-time commitment required; engagements are triggered by client needs on trending issues.
