Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)
Within GBS, you will join the Solutions Architecture team in the Software Engineering Tribe. Here, you will play a crucial role in defining the target architecture and designing end-to-end solutions for initiatives across various GBS domains with a focus on our EB Settlement domain and actively participate in the evolution of the Solution Architecture Practice.
Your role
1. Solution Definition: Support and, where appropriate, lead the definition and implementation of architecture solutions for transversal programs, ensuring alignment with business, technical, and security requirements under the guidance of senior architects.
2. Collaboration: Work with requirement owners, domain architects, and IT engineers to build high-quality solutions.
3. Integration: Bridge the gap between Enterprise Architecture and IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and domain target architectures.
4. Community Contribution: Contribute to the creation of reusable solution patterns and building blocks and actively participate in the evolution of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practices.
5. Technology Expertise: Apply hands-on technology and delivery experience to contribute to the definition of business capability (Domain) target architectures and roadmaps focused on the EB Settlement domain.
6. Knowledge Sharing: Engage in communities of practice with other architects to share standard methodologies and lessons learned.
Your profile
7. Experience: Experience in the IT industry, ideally as a solution architect / lead developer on large-scale transformation projects.
8. Agile and DevOps: Experience with large-scale agile projects and DevOps practices, including CI/CD. Knowledge of agile working at scale and methods such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) would be beneficial.
9. Architectural Skills: Proficiency in Event Driven and Service-based architectures, microservices, and RESTful APIs would be advantageous.
10. Technical Knowledge: Experience with Mainframe technologies in general. Some experience of Java would also be beneficial. Familiarity with integration and data technologies, and experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks like Angular is advantageous.
11. Complex Problem Solving: Ability to handle complex systems and problems across functions, locations, and organizations.
12. Autonomy: Capable of conducting architectural analysis and providing pragmatic suggestions with guidance / mentorship and know when to escalate.
13. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to break down complex problems and provide actionable solutions.
14. Pragmatism: Focus on delivering fit-for-purpose results using a pragmatic approach.
15. Communication: Strong communication skills to advocate for architectural recommendations to project teams and senior management.
16. Relationship Management: Ability to build positive relationships.
17. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of post-trade market infrastructures and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (. Open Agile Architecture or TOGAF) is a plus.
18. Financial Services: Experience in the Financial Services industry and a good understanding of Security Settlement or Treasury processes and the related regulatory environments is beneficial.
19. Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
