Description
* You will evaluate insurance applications related to international trade transactions, performing both financial and qualitative analyses to assess potential risks;
* You will analyze political and structural risks, making informed recommendations on the acceptability of applications to ensure customized solutions that align with client needs and organizational values;
* You will present proposals to decision-making committees or make determinations regarding the acceptance of risks within your designated authority;
* You will cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and/or brokers, both nationally and internationally;
* You will engage in a diverse array of export transactions, including but not limited to buyer credit, supplier credit, cash transactions, and those involving documentary credit, forfaiting, and direct financing;
* In addition to your underwriting responsibilities, you will have the chance to participate in various internal projects and contribute your expertise to the development of new or revised products;
* You will collaborate with more experienced team members who will support you throughout your professional growth and learning process.
Profile
* Holds a master's degree in a field related to economics, with additional qualifications in finance or international trade as a plus, or possesses a master's degree in law complemented by further studies in economics;
* Has gained initial professional experience within the financial or insurance industry;
* Exhibits fluency in French, along with strong verbal and written skills in either Dutch and English, enabling effective communication in a global context, or demonstrates expertise in Dutch paired with professional capability in French and English;
* Merges a robust analytical approach with the ability to synthesize information and possesses strong writing skills;
* Is well-organized, meticulous, and capable of managing pressing deadlines;
* Enjoys working independently while also displaying a collaborative spirit;
* Maintains a keen interest in international trade, global politics, commodity markets, and developing economies.
