As a Cloud Technical Architect, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our client's cloud ecosystem, primarily on Microsoft Azure while supporting multi-cloud integrations where needed. You will ensure that every solution is secure, scalable, and efficient, aligning with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Your responsibilities go beyond pure technical delivery: you will also contribute to cost awareness and FinOps practices, making sure that architectural choices balance performance, security, and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cloud Architecture & Design: Contribute to the translation of business and IT strategies into secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. Support the design of Azure and multi-cloud architectures, aligning implementations with enterprise standards and helping to develop reusable components that enable consistent cloud adoption.
* Cloud Governance and Standards: Apply governance principles covering networking, identity, resource organization, cost management, and security. Contribute to the establishment of standards and ensure that documentation and architectural decisions are aligned and consistently applied across projects.
* Infrastructure Automation and DevOps: Promote automation-first approaches by building Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform. Support the integration of CI/CD pipelines to enable secure and consistent deployments, collaborating with engineering teams to industrialize cloud provisioning and improve reusability of components.
* Security and Compliance: Integrate security best practices into all cloud designs, including Zero Trust principles, segmentation, encryption, and identity-based access. Work with security teams to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements such as NIS2, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks.
* Cloud Operations and Optimization: Support operational models by ensuring monitoring, logging, and cost management capabilities are included in every solution. Contribute to workload placement strategies that balance resilience and cost and collaborate with operations teams to streamline cloud operations through automation and observability.
* Data Services: Contribute to the design and integration of database solutions within cloud architectures, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and availability requirements are met. Support teams in implementing managed services, encryption strategies, backup policies, and high-availability configurations.
* Cloud Financial Management (FinOps) : Apply FinOps practices to improve financial accountability in cloud environments. Support tagging policies, cost allocation strategies, and reporting models in collaboration with finance teams. Contribute to forecasting and budgeting by providing usage insights, identifying optimization opportunities, and promoting cost-awareness across stakeholders.
* Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Share knowledge and contribute to building a culture of efficient, secure, and cost-conscious cloud adoption.
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure.
* Practical experience with Terraform (or equivalent) for cloud provisioning and automation.
* Ability to design, implement, and operate cloud solutions with a focus on security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
* Experience in delivering and operating cloud solutions in production environments.
* Experience applying governance, automation, and security practices in cloud projects.
* Experience or exposure to FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization activities.
