The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a System Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Belgium.
As a System Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
* Developing and improving both new and existing algorithms and control laws for guidance, navigation, flight controls, and aiming systems
* Testing and assessing algorithm performance using analytical methods and Monte Carlo simulations
* Performing validation and verification (V&V) for updated or new algorithm designs
* Supporting the integration of algorithms into hardware via code generation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing
* Enhancing generated C code and supporting embedded teams in algorithm integration
* Participating in trials and processing flight test data
* Maintaining digital twins for current and in-development products
* Modeling physical behavior of new concepts and performing simulations to guide development and inform key technical decisions
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics
* 3–5 years of experience in a similar position
* Strong competence in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis
* Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink; familiarity with Agile methodology
* Programming skills in C/C++; scripting in Python is a plus
* Understanding of real-time algorithm deployment on microcontrollers
* Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent communication and pedagogical skills for conveying complex concepts clearly
* Language(s): English (mandatory)
* Previous experience in aeronautics, space, defense, or automotive sectors, and knowledge of standards like DO-178, ARP4754, or ISO26262, is a plus
