IT Control Operator
to join a mission-critical team supporting complex infrastructure and applications. This role is vital to ensure 24/7 system continuity, issue resolution, and infrastructure reliability.
Responsibilities:
* Act as a
2nd line support
for technical issues impacting internal and external users.
* Execute and monitor
technical operations
, maintenance, and testing procedures.
* Log, document, and escalate issues while contributing to the
continuous improvement
of processes.
* Stay updated on new technologies and apply your knowledge to enhance operations.
* Provide
user support
, and when needed, escalate issues to 3rd line experts.
* Escort and oversee external technicians during on-site interventions.
* Contribute to infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and documentation.
Required Expertise:
We're looking for a profile with broad IT operational knowledge across the following areas:
* Operating Systems:
Windows Server/Workstation (O365, Azure basics), Linux, Solaris
* Virtualization & Cloud:
VMware, VCS
* Networks/Security:
Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Firewall, BigIP
* Storage Systems:
IBM Storwize, IBM Flash, Brocade DCX SAN, IBM SVC
* Backup Solutions:
Veritas NetBackup, Oracle SL3000, T10K/LTO8
* Batch Scheduling:
CA Autosys (WLM Console)
* Monitoring Tools:
Nagios, MonitorNow, JAWS, Icinga, CA Spectrum/SOI
* IT Processes:
ITIL fundamentals, task/incident management (e.g. ServiceNow)
Soft Skills:
* Proactive team player, with strong collaboration and learning mindset.
* Accurate in task execution and responsive to priorities.
* Able to critically assess and solve technical issues in a structured and regulated environment.
Language Requirements:
* French or Dutch
: Active knowledge in at least one; passive in the second.
* English
: Fluent in reading, understanding, and writing technical documentation.
