Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Senior IT Security Officer, you will act as a senior trusted advisor responsible for defining, governing and overseeing security in complex, high-risk environments. You will operate at both strategic and operational level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Security Incident & Response, including coordination, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
* Manage Security Accreditation for systems and environments in line with applicable standards and authorities.
* Drive Security Risk Management, including risk assessments, mitigation and executive-level advice.
* Plan and oversee Security Audits & Assessments (internal, external, regulatory).
* Ensure effective physical and environmental security controls for sensitive or classified environments.
* Act as the senior security point of contact for project leadership and client.
* Mentor junior consultants and contribute to security governance and best practices.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
* 8+ years of experience in information security, cyber security or security governance within complex environments.
* Strong experience in security incident management, risk management and crisis handling.
* Proven expertise in security accreditation, compliance and assurance (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, NIST).
* Experience conducting and overseeing security audits and assessments.
* Solid understanding of physical and environmental security principles.
* Ability to clearly advise and communicate with senior and non-technical stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and quality oversight capabilities.
* Strong analytical, documentation and reporting skills.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Dutch (written and spoken).
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
* Familiarity with defence industry security policies, directives and standards.
* NATO security clearance is a plus (but no hard requirement).
