Project Description – Functional Analyst (Basel IV / IFRS 9 – Credit Risk)
Project Overview:
Our client, a leading financial institution, is undertaking critical regulatory and risk management initiatives focused on Basel IV and IFRS 9 compliance. The project involves implementing regulatory frameworks, enhancing credit risk processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting under new regulations. The engagement requires a medior to senior Functional Analyst with hands-on experience in credit risk and regulatory projects to support both business and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in Basel IV implementation projects, including assessment of current processes, gap analysis, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Support IFRS 9 implementation, including expected credit loss (ECL) modeling, data validation, and integration with credit risk systems.
Collaborate closely with the Credit Risk department to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
Assist in the development of test scenarios, user acceptance testing (UAT), and documentation for regulatory and business reporting.
Act as a liaison between business, risk, and IT teams, ensuring smooth implementation of solutions and adherence to timelines.
Provide recommendations for process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
Required Experience and Skills:
5+ years of relevant experience in functional analysis, preferably in banking or financial services.
Solid hands-on experience with Basel IV frameworks and IFRS 9 regulations.
Background in Credit Risk, including understanding of credit risk processes, data, and reporting.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Proactive, independent, and a team player with excellent communication skills.

Work Setup: 50% on-site, 50% remote
Contract Type: Full-time (5 days/week)
