We are hiring an experienced cloud native or microservices Architect who is responsible for designing and implementing architectures that deliver high-performing, secure, and scalable applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, DevOps, etc.) to ensure the system aligns with business goals and technical requirements.
Job Duties & Accountabilities:
1. Design our solution such that it meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
2. Identify potential bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues, and use that information to optimize our designs.
3. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to build our products.
4. Monitor and optimize infrastructure and service costs, and ensure a cost-effective architecture that supports the product's growth.
5. Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment processes, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and monitoring.
6. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture decisions, deployment strategies, and technical guidelines.
Qualifications:
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
8. Minimum 5 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years focused on cloud native or microservices architecture.
9. Strong knowledge of the Kubernetes platform.
10. Proficiency in designing microservices and distributed systems, including networking, routing, load balancing, observability, configuration in a cloud native architecture
11. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
12. Proficiency in software security best practices.
13. Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
14. Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
15. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
16. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.
17. Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
