Medical Information Director – Customer Management

Roles and Responsibilities

* Responsible for prompt and accurate responses to medical information requests from internal and external customers through the MI Response Center, email, fax and websites for Europe, Middle East and Australia.
* Responsible for ensuring the documentation of inquiries and responses is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant SOPs, work instructions, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
* Ensures that adverse events and product quality complaints are processed in accordance with company SOPs.
* Responsible for creating, reviewing and maintaining MI documents to ensure responses are medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and meet customer needs.
* Manages and trains call‑center team, including vendor and argenx personnel.
* Ensures the highest degree of quality and medical accuracy for all outputs developed.
* Liaises with publications and clinical development groups to develop and maintain timely and relevant product expertise.
* Performs critical analysis and synthesis of internal/external literature related to argenx products and therapeutic areas of focus.
* Provides literature reviews and medical and scientific information related to argenx therapeutic areas to internal teams.
* Exhibits broad knowledge of assigned therapeutics areas, product labeling and regulatory guidance.
* Maintains relevant knowledge repositories, including medical information responses and publications.
* Coordinates with Drug Safety and Quality regarding adverse events and product complaints, ensuring systematic capture and timely reporting.
* Completes all work in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and argenx procedures and policies.
* Serves as a medical affairs liaison to cross‑functional groups for incorporating current medical/scientific information into departmental documents and processes.
* Develops and maintains metrics on key business processes to monitor Medical Information services through call centers.

* Proven track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targets.
* Detailed understanding of industry regulations and practices related to medical information within Europe.
* Ensures compliance and audit readiness.


Education, Experience, and Qualifications

* PhD, PharmD, or other healthcare qualification (PharmD or PhD preferred).
* Fluency in one or more European languages is preferred.
* Experience in rare diseases is preferred.
* 5+ years of industry experience working with medical information.
* Experience managing medical information vendors.
* Experience with inquiry management systems.
* Experience in componentized content creation and content management systems is preferred.
