You will join a development squad working on a large-scale, modernized service platform that enables secure data exchange between public-sector organizations. The platform has recently undergone a major technical modernization and continues to evolve with new services, integrations, and optimizations.
In this role, you contribute directly to the development, maintenance, and evolution of business-critical services in a cloud-native, API-driven environment
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and extend new backend services and functionalities
* Maintain and enhance existing services, including defect resolution and change implementation
* Contribute to modernization and optimization initiatives across the platform
* Design and implement SOAP and REST-based APIs
* Build and maintain microservices using Spring and Spring Boot
* Apply test-driven development and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
* Collaborate within an Agile development squad on analysis, implementation, and release
What are we looking for?
* You have
3+ years of experience developing Java-based applications
* You have hands-on experience with
Spring and Spring Boot
* You have practical experience designing and implementing
REST and SOAP APIs
* You have experience working in Agile development environments
* You have a technical Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience
* You are fluent in
Dutch (CEFR C2)
Nice to Have:
* Experience with microservices architectures
* Experience with
Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines
* Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (
OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, WS-Security
)
* Experience with
Kafka
* Experience with clean coding practices
* Experience with
Spring Batch or Apache Camel
