Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityFor more than 25 years, ITS Group has been a French ESN specializing in digital transformation, employing around 1,400 employees across 8 agencies in France and 1 in Belgium.Our expertise: IT infrastructure & operations, cloud & managed services, mobility, workstations & networks, strategy, consulting & AMO, cybersecurity, development of business applications.ITS Group places its CSR commitment at the heart of its concerns by developing sustainable and responsible digital technology and by promoting the professional and personal development of its employees.Find out more: the Job :Great assignments await you with our key account clients in rich and varied environmentsThe organization is looking for a System Engineer specialized in API Management to support its digital transformation and evolving energy market activities.The role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating a robust API management platform within a modern, cloud-native, container-based ecosystem.The engineer will play a key role in:Ensuring high-quality system delivery in an integrated IT landscapeSupporting secure, scalable, and reusable API designDriving API governance, standardization, and observabilityContributing to the evolution toward platform engineering, with a strong emphasis on automation and industrializationThe position requires close collaboration with enterprise architecture, technical teams, product, and security stakeholders, and the ability to work in a technology-agnostic mindset for future solutions.Your mission:Advise on and manage the setup and evolution of the API Management platformEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture and technical architectureDefine, enforce, and maintain API standards, policies, and governance frameworksSupport development teams in building secure, consistent, and reusable APIsEnsure compliance, observability, and lifecycle management of APIsContribute to container-based platform services using KubernetesParticipate in the transition toward platform engineering, including automation and self-service capabilitiesSupport the industrialization of API delivery and operationsYour activities:Configure, manage, and optimize API management solutions (currently based on Kong, with openness to alternatives like Google Apigee)Design and maintain API documentation and standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, security)Implement and monitor API governance frameworksContribute to CI/CD pipelines for API deploymentEnsure monitoring, logging, and observability using tools such as ELK and DatadogWork with AWS services (EKS, SQS, xjsrcvq S3) in a cloud-native environmentParticipate in Kubernetes-based platform design, maintenance, and evolutionSupport GraphQL and REST API design and integrationContribute to system reliability, scalability, and performance improvementsYou have the following skills:Core Technical SkillsStrong understanding of API management principlesHands-on experience with API management tools (Kong, Google Apigee)Knowledge of GraphQLExperience with AWS services (EKS, SQS, S3)Solid experience with KubernetesUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelinesExperience in monitoring and logging in cloud-native environments (ELK, Datadog)Knowledge of Java Spring Boot developmentLanguagesFluent in English, Dutch, and FrenchNice to HaveFamiliarity with PostgreSQLExperience with Kafka (Confluent)
