Role Overview
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end procurement and design qualification of key equipment (valves, actuators, pumps, compressors, handling systems, containers, and spares). You’ll combine technical expertise with project ownership to ensure every purchase meets performance, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Define technical requirements and prepare tender documentation (specifications, QA criteria, commercial terms)
• Review and analyze supplier offers; support commercial negotiations and contract kick-off
• Oversee equipment qualification by technical studies and test campaigns
• Perform detailed mechanical design and sizing studies for valve actuators and related systems
• Monitor manufacturing progress alongside quality surveillance teams and customer representatives
• Provide on-site technical support and expertise for customers, including liaising with safety authorities
• Draft clear reports, calculation notes, and technical specifications
Must-Have Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical equipment procurement, design, or engineering projects
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); professional proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus
• Strong report-writing skills and comfort with technical calculations
• Familiarity with materials, manufacturing methods, maintenance practices, and quality assurance
• Ready to travel within Europe for short- or long-term assignments
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access); 3D CAD experience is an asset
• Valid driver’s license
