This role is strictly for senior profiles with proven professional experience in robotics.
At Botronics, we’re redefining golf with robotics. Our flagship product iXi is the world’s first autonomous golf trolley, combining advanced navigation, real-time perception, embedded AI, and an intuitive user experience (embedded screen, mobile app, and gesture control). We’re a growing startup of 10 people, building smart, autonomous systems that operate reliably on real golf courses.
To support our next development phase, we’re looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join our team of 5 software engineers.
What you’ll do
* Design, develop, and deploy autonomous navigation and control systems using ROS 2 / Nav2
* Integrate perception, localization, and path-planning for outdoor mobile robots
* Work on Embedded Linux systems, sensors, actuators, and hardware drivers
* Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and product teams
* Test, debug, and optimize systems during real-world field trials
* Contribute across the full robotics software lifecycle
* Contribute to open-source
What we’re looking for
* Strong experience with ROS 2, Nav2 (including Behavior Trees)
* Proven track record deploying ROS-based robots to production (outdoor robots are a big plus)
* Solid C++ skills (interest in Rust is a plus).
* Embedded Linux experience (Jetson knowledge is a plus)
* Startup mindset: proactive, flexible, and hands-on (yes, sometimes including UI work)
* Good English; French is a plus
* Passion for robotics (golf interest is a bonus)
We are primarily focusing our efforts on our product(s). Therefore, our simulation environment does not yet allow us to work remotely on a regular basis. We are, of course, flexible, and remote work is permitted when the tasks allow for it.
If you’re excited about building real autonomous robots that ship to customers (B2C), we’d love to hear from you.
