Market Manager - Beauty/Cosmetics
Novaris is currently partnered with a leading manufacturer of speciality ingredients and natural raw materials who are leading the way in sustainability. With multiple awards at key conferences including a silver award for best functional at in-cosmetics and multiple other shortlisted ingredients, this is a company that remains on top of key trends and will be able to provide their customers with innovative, sustainable and leading ingredients for skin care, hair care, sun care and colour cosmetics. Founded hundreds of years ago, this is an established organisation with a global presence.
Our client are now seeking a market manager to lead their beauty product portfolio across EMEA. This is an integral role to develop and implement the product strategy and ensure our client remain on top of the trends allowing them to continue growing their sales and market share.
Role:
* Develop the product portfolio strategy and break this down into regional business plans
* Formulate and guide the regional pricing strategy & provide clear guidelines on product pricing
* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure a robust product pipeline that remains at the forefront of innovation, ensuring any white space and gaps in the portfolio are addressed
* Work cross-functionally to support new product launches
* Develop key product information for customer visits, presentations, industry events and conferences with the support of product managers in the team
* Ensure all commercial teams are aware of any recurring questions from clients and translate key information to address this, developing effective solutions
* Develop strong business relationships with key strategic customers
* Monitor competitor activity and stay on top of market trends
* Develop and interpret market intelligence to anticipate trends that will enable growth of the beauty and personal care business
Candidate Requirements:
* 5 to 10 years in product management, account management or business development within cosmetic ingredients
* Strong understanding of sustainability initiatives and speciality ingredients in cosmetics
* Technical background is preferred but not a deal
* Ability to take initiative and make key strategic decisions
* Ability to be in Belgium 2/3 days a week
