We are partnering with a well-established and fast-growing international business based in Waregem to hire a Financial Controller who will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial future.

As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the company’s financial reporting, compliance and performance insights while supporting strategic growth.
Key responsibilities
Financial reporting & control
* Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
* Prepare and review statutory and management reports
* Ensure compliance with local GAAP and group reporting standards
* Manage audits and act as the key point of contact for external auditors
Business partnering
* Translate financial data into clear insights for senior management
* Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
* Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve profitability
* Provide financial guidance for new projects and investments
Process & systems improvement
* Drive automation and continuous improvement in finance processes
* Strengthen internal controls and risk management
* Help professionalise and scale the finance function
Team collaboration
* Work closely with accounting, operations and leadership teams
* Act as a trusted sparring partner for the Finance Director/CEO
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a proactive finance professional who enjoys ownership, collaboration and making an impact.
Experience
* 5+ years in finance/controlling/audit
* Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
* Experience in an international or fast-growing environment is a plus
* Audit or Big 4 background is highly valued
Skills
* Strong business acumen and communication skills
* Hands-on, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
* Comfortable working both strategically and operationally
* Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
