Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Advisor to oversee the implementation of safety policies and procedures on-site.
The ideal candidate will lead the development and execution of health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.
This role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as fluency in English. French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
You will conduct regular site inspections, monitor activities, and assist in the creation of risk assessments and safe plans.
Able to work independently, take initiative, and drive safety performance, you will also investigate incidents, maintain accurate records, and promote a culture of safety-first.
Responsibilities:
* Implement health and safety standards on-site
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits
* Monitor activities for compliance with health and safety legislation
* Create risk assessments and safe plans
* Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Investigate incidents and near-misses
* Liaise with local authorities and client representatives
* Maintain accurate records
Requirements:
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a Health and Safety role
* Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Fluency in English; French and/or Dutch is an advantage
* Computer literate (MS Office, incident reporting systems, auditing tools)
