Responsibilities
for the Risk & Change Manager
Risk & Change Governance
1. Ownership of the programme wide Risk, Change and Early Warning Notification (EWN) processes
2. Maintain the risk register, change order log and EWN tracker in line with agreed governance procedures
3. Ensure all risk and change processes are implemented across the project
Early Warning & Change Management
4. Manage, host and facilitate EWN, Risk and Change meetings with key stakeholders
5. Review submissions against agreed thresholds and escalate breaches in line with project governance
6. Manage change communication, ensuring stakeholders are fully informed of change orders, impacts and required actions
7. Ensure all supporting documentation required for change approval and sign-off is complete
Risk Analysis & Mitigation
8. Engage collaboratively with risk owners to develop realistic risk impact assessments
9. Apply industry best practice facilitation techniques to challenge assumptions and validate mitigation strategies
10. Develop and deliver stress test scenarios for extreme risk events
11. Support proactive risk mitigation planning to protect programme, cost and contingency
Reporting & Controls
12. Prepare clear and accurate risk and change status reports for inclusion in monthly project reports
13. Maintain the client database, ensuring all entries are comprehensive, auditable and clearly documented
14. Manage and report to the Owner on project contingency, tracking drawdown against approved change orders and actual spend
Experience Required for the Risk & Change Manager
15. Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline with a strong focus on Risk and Change Management
16. Proven experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects
17. Experience with industry risk tools such as Safran Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, and familiarity with ARM, Xactium and RiskPredict!
18. Knowledge of ISO 31000, COSO, AACE and PMI Risk Management principles
19. Strong understanding of project controls, contingency management and change governance
20. Fluent in English, both written and spoken

22. Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating challenging discussions
