We are currently partnering with an internationally active organisation based in Ghent to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a key position within the finance team, offering strong exposure to both operational and strategic aspects of the business.
The role is well suited to a finance professional who combines solid technical expertise with a proactive and business-oriented mindset, and who is looking to take the next step in an international environment.
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, while supporting management with clear insights to drive decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
* Preparing and analysing financial reports and performance metrics
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
* Monitoring financial performance and providing variance analysis
* Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to improve financial outcomes
* Supporting audits, compliance, and internal control processes
* Contributing to the optimisation and digitalisation of financial processes
Profile:
* Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
* 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in controlling, accounting, or audit
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting and closing processes
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus
* Fluent in English; xphnsxz Dutch is an advantage
* Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
