About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and creative Trade Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our Benelux team. You will support marketing and sales by managing trade, consumer, and B2B marketing initiatives. Your responsibilities include developing and localizing marketing materials, organizing impactful events, and creating innovative B2B concepts to boost MSC Cruises' visibility and engagement across trade and retail networks.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of projects from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Events & Experiences
• Organize and manage trade events from A to Z: trade shows, ship visits, fam trips, lunches, onboard B2B events, etc.
• Plan and execute consumer and member events: consumer shows, presentations, ship visits, cocktails, dinners, etc.
• Coordinate event setups, including stands, branding, logistics, materials, and technical requirements. Not afraid to get hands-on when needed.
Trade Marketing & Co-Marketing
• Develop, coordinate, and localize marketing materials for retail: flyers, dedicated brochures, presentations, info sheets, videos, etc. (Good knowledge of Photoshop is important for localization)
• Coordinate the production of POP materials with graphic agencies and printers, including window displays, agency branding, shop-in-shop concepts, and digital screens
• Scout, brainstorm, and develop new B2B concepts to strengthen trade partner engagement and MSC Cruises' visibility
• Coordinate, track, and approve activities and plans related to co-marketing in good collaboration with our sales team
• Manage projects from concept to execution
Trade Media
• Act as the main marketing contact for trade magazines, including annual contracts, advertisements, advertorials, and updates
Logistics & Stock
• Coordinate mailings and material distribution to travel agencies in collaboration with the warehouse
• Manage warehouse activities: stock management (brochures, gadgets, etc.), inbound/outbound orders, inventory tracking, shipments, and invoice control
• Ensure materials, including gadgets and merchandising, are ready for events, trade activations, and the retail network
Administrative Responsibilities
• Ensure financial follow-up, including purchase orders, budget tracking, invoice validation, and financial management of co-marketing and B2B/B2C event activities
Skills & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in communication, Marketing, or a related field. Experience in tourism is a plus.
• Languages: Dutch speaking / professional level of French and English. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in marketing or events, preferably within the tourism industry.
• Industry Knowledge: High affinity for cruises and solid understanding of the Benelux tourism market.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in Brussels (BE) or Hoofddorp (NL)
