Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Within the Engineering division of THALES Belgium, the Software Engineering discipline is responsible for all the software development activities on products, projects and services provided to customers worldwide.
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Thales Belgium, you will be responsible for overseeing the software testing process and validate that the software team not only built the product right, but also built the right product. To achieve this objective, you will define the software testing strategy and test scenario, prepare the environments and finally
execute the software test cases and document the test results to ensure that our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
* Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (Postman, Selenium, Java).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities:
Integration Management
* Lead the integration of various software components into a unified system.
* Coordinate with software development teams to ensure smooth integration
processes.
* Resolve integration issues by troubleshooting and making necessary
adjustments
Verification and Validation
* Plan and manage software verification and validation activities within project
timelines and budgets.
* Develop and implement comprehensive verification and validation strategies.
* Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software
requirements and specifications.
* Conduct manual and automated testing to verify the functionality and performance. of software solutions.
* Perform code reviews and ensure that all software components meet
requirements, and adhere to coding and industry standards, and regulatory
guidelines.
Documentation
* Document and maintain the test procedures.
* Document the test results and communicate it to the right stakeholders.
Innovation and Improvement
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and
effectiveness in software testing.
* Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.
* Identify automation opportunities and include them in your testing continuous
improvement plan.
