About the role
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-focused Accounts Assistant & Payables Specialist to manage and post financial transactions across multiple legal entities in Belgium, the UK, USA, Czechia and Germany. You’ll process supplier invoices, payments, and accruals, ensuring transactions are accurately posted in local accounting systems.
You’ll report to our Head of Accounting and play a key role in keeping our books clean, compliant, and up to date. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role — ideal for someone who takes pride in doing things accurately and consistently in a multi-entity environment.
Please note that this is a fully remote role and we can only consider applications from Belgium, Germany and the UK.
What you’ll do at Image Line
* Process and post supplier invoices, bank transactions, accruals, and prepayments across entities in Belgium, the UK, USA, Germany, and Czechia
* Enter all transactions in local accounting systems (e.g., Adsolut, Xero, Yuki, Pohoda, Datev)
* Own the accounts payable process — from invoice intake to payment execution ensuring suppliers & tax authorities are paid on time.
* Maintain accurate vendor records, monitor payment terms, and ensure timely payments.
* Ensure all postings are correctly coded, approved, and VAT-compliant
* Reconcile bank transactions and ensure all items are booked and documented.
* Support month-end routines by keeping ledgers accurate, complete, and organized.
* Flag inconsistencies, missing data, or errors early to the Head of Accounting
* Payroll processing - currently outsourced but plan is to transfer in house.
We would love to hear from you if you bring
* 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or transactional finance
* Hands-on experience posting transactions in at least two of the following countries: Belgium, UK, USA. Experience in Czechia & Germany would be beneficial.
* Familiarity with EU VAT and invoice compliance standards such as the current transition to e-invoicing.
* Experience of accruals and prepayments.
* Experience using tools like Adsolut, Codabox, Xero, and Yuki or similar. Netsuite, MS Business Central, Datev and Pohoda would also be beneficial.
* Experience with banking platforms like Isabel 6, Revolut, and KBC Reach
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Fluent in English and Dutch; reading ability in Czech, or German is a strong plus
* Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
