Portfolio manager - defence & SecurityWe are currently looking for a Principal Portfolio Manager to strengthen our team and lead portfolio management initiatives within the Defence & Security sector.This senior role requires strong leadership in portfolio design, project execution, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and long-term transformation goals.Key responsibilitiesDesign and implement a portfolio & program management framework aligned with division strategyEnhance and improve portfolio management processes and foster a culture of adaptability and changeDefine priorities within the portfolio to ensure optimal resource allocationDrive the execution of programs and projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and stakeholder satisfactionMonitor and report progress using KPIs and performance indicatorsIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across the portfolioStay informed about industry standards, methodologies, and best practicesRequired skills & experienceMaster's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in related fieldsSolid expertise in portfolio and project managementExperience in complex systems and IT programmes (defence, Telecom, intelligence, surveillance, or related areas)Proven track record in progress tracking and reportingProject Management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent)Nice-to-have qualificationsPortfolio Management certification (e.g. Management of Portfolios - MOP)Certification in Risk ManagementExperience in long-term IT portfolio planningStrong skills in developing KPIs and quality frameworksSoft skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder managementCollaborative team playerProactive and solutions-drivenAdditional informationLanguages: English (mandatory)Location: South of Brussels area (easy access from the capital)Work setup: On-site role with limited remote flexibilityStart date: Mid-November 2025Contract: 6 months, with possible extensions into Interested or know someone who might be a good fit?Let's connect!
