🎯 The Role
The IT Lead will be responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining isardSAT’s IT infrastructure and services, ensuring the availability, security and continuous improvement of the technological systems that support our scientific, R&D and corporate activities.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the IT strategy in alignment with business and R&D objectives.
• Manage corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, systems and cloud services.
• Ensure the availability, performance, security and scalability of IT systems.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives and information protection activities.
• Define and maintain IT policies, procedures and standards.
• Manage the IT budget and technology roadmap.
• Support development, data and scientific computing environments.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2 and other relevant requirements.
• Provide IT support to internal technical, scientific and business teams.
• Manage incidents, business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Coordinate external suppliers and technology partners.
✅ Requirements
🎓 Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.
• Equivalent technical qualifications supported by relevant experience will also be considered.
💼 Experience
• 5–8 years' experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or similar roles.
• Previous experience as an IT Lead, Senior Systems Administrator or equivalent.
• Experience in technology, scientific or R&D-driven environments.
• Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructures (on-premises and cloud).
• Experience with ISO 27001 and NIS2 frameworks.
⚙️ Technical Skills
• Linux, Windows and macOS administration.
• Networking, infrastructure management and IT security.
• AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Cybersecurity best practices.
• IT monitoring and service management tools.
• Automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code (desirable).
• CI/CD, virtualisation, containers and HPC environments (desirable).
🌍 Languages
• Fluent English (essential).
• Fluent Catalan (essential).
