We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst / Technical Writer to join our team. You will focus on formalizing the current "as is" IT environment and consolidating the future "to be" situation. This role involves a thorough documentation and assessment process of all maintenance procedures within our project environment.
You will manage the simultaneous documentation of various IT teams linked to a specific site, including building structures and workflows, engaging with stakeholders. You will edit and deliver technically accurate documentation to help others successfully adopt our solutions. You will own the editorial bar for the entire documentation set, including the documentation of the architecture (in coordination with the technical architects), the processes, procedures, and SLAs (in coordination with the Service Delivery Manager). You will document both the current ("As-is") and future ("TO-BE") technical architectures and processes, and create complete SLAs and maintenance processes across various components of the IT system.
Job tasks (non-exhaustive)
As a full member of our product teams, you will support them in:
Developing, writing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including architecture, user manuals, system documentation, installation guides, FAQs, and other support materials.
Writing SLAs in accordance with the Service Delivery Manager's definitions and requirements.
Collaborating with engineering and product management to gather information and understand documentation needs.
Editing and improving existing documentation by ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, and comprehensibility.
Working closely with subject matter experts to create documentation that meets user needs and supports product goals.
Using various MS Office tools, including Visio.
Maintaining a documentation repository and ensuring it is up-to-date with the latest product releases and updates.
Creating visual aids, such as diagrams, charts, and screenshots, to enhance understanding of technical content.
Reviewing and providing feedback on documentation created by other team members to ensure quality standards.
Requirements
Hard skills:
At least 5 years of experience in content creation and technical writing within an enterprise, professional services organization, or similar practice. (IT Infrastructure experience is a plus).
Working knowledge of documentation tools and repositories to develop templates, manipulate, and manage technical content.
Experience working directly with engineers and other technical subject matter experts.
Familiarity with High Voltage Direct Current (Hvdc) systems and related maintenance procedures is a plus but not mandatory.
Languages: English is mandatory for documentation; native Dutch or French with a passive understanding of the other language.
