This role is located in various global locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for internal and external business communications for our Energy & Climate; Feedstocks & Commodities; Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deploy messages across internal and external communication channels
* Engage with business executives and senior leaders on crisis communications, media relations, executive communications, organizational changes, and employee communications
* Monitor and flag emerging climate and decarbonization-related issues and opportunities for engagement
* Provide messaging, presentations, and visuals to amplify our messaging
* Maintain content freshness on various channels (dow.com; social media; etc.)
* Collaborate with Public Affairs teams to publicize our contribution to a low emissions future
Responsibility Areas:
Internal/Executive Communications & Counsel
Provide critical communications support to business leaders ensuring high-quality internal communications are aligned across the enterprise.
* Synchronize internal communications to inform and drive alignment around strategic themes and shared goals
* Support leaders' ability to inspire employees by clarifying their role in helping us meet our stated sustainability and financial targets
Social Media/Public Relations
Identify opportunities for thought leader positioning through media relations, speaking engagements, and content placement on global social media platforms.
Decarbonize & Grow
Support implementation of a global communications strategy focused on reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and addressing climate change.
* Participate in various Dow Climate Program Management Office efforts and key projects
Measurement
Manage measurement mechanisms of our communications programs to ensure return on investment and/or support strategic adjustments.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required
* At least 3 years of professional experience in marketing communications, site/geographic communications, internal communications, or issues management
* Desire to learn about the inputs that enable our success
* Experience working with diverse, remote, and international teams
* Excellent communication, presentation, and content development skills
* Able to work independently and on own initiative
