Head of Guidewire Programme Delivery
Role Overview
Our client, a leading insurance organisation, is seeking a senior delivery leader to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of its Guidewire platform landscape. This role will play a critical part in driving the organisation’s core systems transformation across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, alongside digital, data, and integration initiatives.
Operating within a business-led environment, you will ensure that technology delivery is closely aligned with underwriting, claims, and operational priorities. You will lead complex programmes, coordinate multiple delivery streams, and work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Experience
10+ years’ experience in programme or delivery leadership within the insurance sector.
Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
Direct experience delivering Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
Experience working within an insurer environment (rather than purely consulting-led delivery).
Strong experience managing system integrators and external vendors.
Skills
Deep understanding of insurance operations (policy, claims, billing).
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capability at executive level.
Solid financial and commercial management experience.
Ability to navigate complex organisational structures and competing priorities.
Strong governance, risk management, and decision-making capability.
Desirable
Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations.
Exposure to European insurance markets, General Insurance, or Specialty lines.
Understanding of data platforms, integrations, and digital customer journeys.

Act as a trusted partner to senior business leaders across underwriting, claims, and finance.

Provide clear communication and reporting to executive stakeholders.

Track delivery against KPIs, timelines, and business case objectives.
Provide transparent reporting on programme health and performance.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead internal delivery teams across project management, architecture, analysis, and testing.
Foster a collaborative and accountable delivery culture.

Maintain a strong understanding of Guidewire capabilities and insurance business processes.
Translate business requirements into effective delivery strategies and solutions.
