Long-term For one of our clients within an European institution, we are currently looking for an
IT Web Architect. The candidate will play a key role in the design, architecture, and implementation of websites and supporting applications. This position ensures that multilingual content can be efficiently published and maintained across Internet platforms, while also guaranteeing that solutions meet business, technical, and quality requirements. The role involves architectural design, technical guidance, implementation support, and coordination across teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain the architecture of software systems by defining components that meet functional and technological needs. Perform impact analysis to evaluate the effect of new requirements on existing systems and establish priorities. Contribute to the implementation of software components. Assist in deployment, configuration, and delivery of systems. Monitor development progress and ensure timely delivery of systems and components. Manage and implement change requests. Capture and translate business needs into actionable tasks for project teams. Organize and coordinate workshops, ensuring proper project documentation. Provide guidance, coaching, and best practices to developers. Ensure websites and applications meet non-functional requirements (quality, performance, scalability, maintainability, and security). Required Qualifications and Skills
Strong expertise in
enterprise architecture
and
software design. Proven development experience with frameworks and platforms, particularly
Java. Hands-on experience with
AWS services
(Amazon S3, Lambda, SNS, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SQS, CloudFront). Knowledge of
media management
(video transcoding, encoding, formats, bitrates, codecs, resolutions, image processing) and delivery optimization best practices. Practical experience with media processing tools and services such as
AWS Elemental MediaConvert
(or alternatives). Understanding of
asset lifecycle management, from ingestion to publishing. Experience handling source files, generating derivatives (thumbnails, proxies), and managing transcoding jobs. Familiarity with
agile methodologies. Strong ability to manage priorities, identify risks and opportunities, and drive results. Excellent
communication
and
collaboration
skills. Desired/Additional Skills (Assets)
Experience with
message-oriented middleware
(Kafka topics, sinks, dead-letter queues for stateful job orchestration). Advanced development expertise in
Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and
REST APIs. Experience with
headless CMS platforms
(e.g., Strapi). Familiarity with
DevOps/DataOps
concepts and
CI/CD pipelines .
