Mission


As a Product Portfolio Manager, your primary mission is to optimize, manage, and develop Falk & Ross’s product portfolio to meet the needs of the promotional textiles market, strengthen our differentiation versus competition, and support sustainable business growth.


The Product Portfolio Manager is the « driver » of the portfolio: he understands the market, drives the performance of existing products, identify growth opportunities, and build Falk & Ross’s differentiation in a highly competitive environment.


Key Responsibilities


1. Market & Competition Analysis (Voice of the Market)

* Develop an in-depth understanding of the promotional textiles market.
* Identify trends, customer needs, emerging segments, threats, and opportunities.
* Conduct structured competitor analysis (=Wholesaler) : portfolio, positioning, pricing and strategy.


2. Portfolio Performance Management

* Monitor the performance of distributed brands and products (rotation, profitability, margin).
* Analyze portfolio coverage across main segments (of resellers) to avoid redundancies, address market gaps and to ensure a balanced portfolio that meets customer expectations.
* Segment products portfolio to strengthen top rotators, support slow movers, recommend phase-out for non-rotators.
* Define and execute a lifecycle management strategy from launch to phase-out.
* Propose product updates, extensions, or discontinuations to maximize long-term profitability.


3. Portfolio Strategy. Positioning & Differentiation

* Understand reseller needs and market requirements to shape the most relevant and efficient product portfolio. Ensure our assortment addresses all key needs; when gaps are identified, evaluate alternatives (existing brands in the market) or collaborate with B&C to assess product development opportunities
* Identify and recommend any range extensions or any brand/product introduction
* Define strategies to highlight Falk & Ross’s Unique Selling Propositions versus competition.


4. Pricing & Distribution Strategy

* Manage reseller pricing segmentation according to customer size, potential and strategic importance.
* Develop a pricing strategy aligned with customer perception and market positioning.
* Support sales negotiations with clear models and value-based arguments.
* Recommend optimal distribution strategies per country (retail, online, direct, etc.).


5. Promotion & Sales Enablement

* Align with brands on marketing and promotional calendars to maximize visibility and sales.
* Develop effective sales enablement tools (product sheets, USPs, competitive comparisons) to equip sales teams.


6. Performance Analysis

* Define clear KPIs to measure portfolio performance (sell-in/sell-out, margins, rotation, launch success).
* Provide management with dashboards and ad-hoc analyses from launch to discontinuation.
* Deliver actionable recommendations based on results.


Your profile


Experience:

* 5–10 years in Product Management, Category Management, or Product Marketing, preferably in textiles, FMCG, or B2B distribution.
* Proven experience managing broad and complex product portfolios.
* Knowledge of the textile/fashion industry is a plus.


Education: Master’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent.


Key Skills:

* Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
* Solid business view with focus on profitability.
* Knowledge of pricing, distribution, and product positioning strategies.
* Expertise in product lifecycle management.
* Excellent communication skills (written & oral) in French or Dutch and English
* Ability to lead transversally and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
