The role is pivotal in supporting and driving technical innovation and automation within the Product Artwork (PA) team, ensuring operational excellence and future‑readiness. The selected candidate will serve as a technical and automation SME, driving artwork automation initiatives, resolving complex technical artwork issues, partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable solutions, and building strong collaborations across Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and external business partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for coordinating and troubleshooting all technical aspects of Product Artwork.
* Coordinate with Packaging Sites, LOCs and Business Partners to support all technical & automated artwork template corrections/questions.
* Review technical and automated artwork template files to ensure compliance with departmental SOPs.
* Support automation initiatives within the artwork management system (ArcTiC / Esko) and partner with cross‑functional teams.
* Develop and create automated artwork templates and ensure timely, compliant delivery that meets all HA and company standards.
* Provide technical support & training to team members within Product Artwork & Business Partners.
* Assist in designing and improving technical and automation workflows; establish KPIs to measure performance and value creation.
* Collaborate closely with IT, Regulatory, Quality, Packaging Sites, Brand Protection, Supply Chain, and external partners to support seamless automation integration.
* Ensure adherence to artwork systems and regulatory standards; identify and mitigate technical and automation risks.
* Work with the Product Artwork Excellence team for quality, compliance, audit, SOP development, training content and system master data input.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Engineering, Graphic Design, or Supply Chain preferred.
Experience & Skills:
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
* Technical & automation experience in artwork, regulatory labeling or packaging fields.
* Experience coordinating and troubleshooting artwork, regulatory labeling, and packaging design (e.g., variable data, barcode, automated & technical template).
* Experience creating packaging component technical templates, brief content & instructions.
* 2+ years of experience in production readiness of artworks (preferably packaging).
* Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro.
* Understanding of regulatory processes and systems in pharmaceutical packaging, artwork management, or related fields.
* Supply Chain experience, including value chain, packaging sites, external vendor management, and related areas.
* Knowledge of end‑to‑end performance and metric‑based culture within the artwork coordination team.
* Strong cross‑functional business acumen and oral/ written communication skills with ability to influence without authority.
* Ability to multi‑task, work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate resilience and high productivity under schedule and budget constraints.
Preferred: Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry experience; Lean/Six Sigma certification; familiarity with artwork systems (e.g., ArcTiC / Esko); experience setting up KPIs.
