Job Title: Civil Project Engineer
Location: Hoboken, Belgium - Limited Remote work is available
Duration: 12 Months contract - long term collaboration intended
Job Description:
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
* Technically leading civil projects: design review, technical validation, and quality control.
* Managing project execution: defining scope, developing schedules, monitoring budgets, and coordinating resources.
* Acting as the central point of contact for civil works, in consultation with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Conducting site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical problems.
* Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings.
* Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.
* Identifying and mitigating project risks through structured planning and decision-making.
Technical Profile Requirements
* Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with basic experience in project management.
* Thorough knowledge of concrete calculations and industrial steel structures.
* Proficient in writing clear and complete calculation reports.
* Able to combine technical depth with project coordination (approximately 60% engineering / 40% project management).
* Basic knowledge of structural analysis software (such as SCIA Engineer) is required.
* Additional knowledge of steel connections, soil mechanics, fire safety, or road and sewer design is a plus.
* Experience interpreting drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Navisworks.
* Familiar with EHS and quality systems in industrial environments.
* Experience with TMB legislation is a plus.
* Strong focus on safety in all project phases.
* Experience with or at contractors (design office or execution) is an asset.
