Do you want to take part in the development of the automotive of tomorrow?
The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Tool & Manufacturing Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products, services. As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities
• You purchase production tools & equipment (i.e assembly equipment, material handling equipment, packaging) for current and future models/vehicles
• You negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best cost reductions
• You manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility
• You are responsible to make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management
• You develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends within the automotive industry
• You work closely with Global Toyota Purchasing. You will develop commodity strategies at regional level and have direct input towards global strategies.
Your Profile
• You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
• You have a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing or engineering
• You have business understanding and affinity with automotive products
• You are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
• You have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• You have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
• You can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
• You are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc…)
• You enjoy working in a team and respect others, have a customer mindset
• You have strong planning and organization skills
• You are willing to travel up to 20%
