Department description and responsibilities?
At the head-office in Brussels are working mainly white-collar and managers. It is a primarily office environment with main departments in finance, people & organization, legal, battery materials, health environment and safety…
Also the Executive Leadership Team is located in the head-office in Brussels.
Project description:
To reinforce the prevention tasks at the site, we are looking for additional support to develop and implement the necessary safety programs including (but not limited to) work-permit program, emergency preparedness, ergonomics…In line with our client’s ‘Let’s Go for Zero’ ambitions,
The Prevention Advisor Level 2 supports the prevention team and the management with the development and implementation of safety programs and promoting a caring safety culture within the organization..
Primary Tasks and responsibilities ?
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety audits.
• Develop and implement safety training programs tailored to specific needs including 1st aid programs
• Collaborate with management to create and enforce safety policies and procedrues including programs on ergonomics, emergency preparedness, safe traffic (underground garage), work permits, work at height, electrical safety etc.
• Mentor and support Level 1 advisors and other staff in safety practices.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and KPIs.
• Lead incident investigations and analyze data to identify trends.
• Engage with employees to foster a proactive safety culture.
Technical profile requirements ?
• 7+ years of experience working as Prevention Advisor Level 2.
• Proven experience in safety management or a related field, particularly in incident investigation and safety project implementation.
• Proven experience in safety managment in a admin/industrial site
• You have technical knowledge and can discuss technical matters with contractors
• You have a network of contacts for small repairs, changes, updates for EHS-purposes
Non-Technical profile requirements
• Strong analytical skills
• excellent communication abilities
• proactive approach to safety management.
Methodology/Certification requirements ?
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• minimum Prevention Advisor Level 2 certification. (We are open for PA level 1 as well)
Language proficiencies ?
• Fluent speaking and writing English & Dutch.
• Mission for 2.5 day/week to perform 100% onsite at our client Brussels
