Mission of the Quality & Implementation Manager
The Quality and Release Manager oversees release governance and readiness across multiple products to ensure smooth, high-quality deployments of all initiatives. The Q&R Manager ensures that all products, services, and processes meet established quality standards as well as other company requirements. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages quality systems, and acts as the key point of contact for all departments within Wyre for the release calender.
Your Key Responsibilities as Quality & Implementation Manager:
Cross-Functional Release Coordination & Central Product Governance:
1. Coordinate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and development teams to align on release scope and timing.
2. Set clear release processes, templates, and decision points, and guide Product Owners in applying them.
3. Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations to embed quality standards in all processes.
4. Act as a trusted advisor for quality-related decisions and escalations.
Release Planning, Readiness & Calendar Management:
5. Optimize the overall release calendar across multiple products by identifying bottlenecks, prerequisites, and synergies across planned changes.
6. Validate releases by performing pre-release quality and completeness checks, and measure release performance.
Risk Management:
7. Determine the impact of dependencies and issues (such as late deliveries) as input for planning decisions.
Knowledge & Skill Management:
8. Oversee training, communication, and the knowledge hub so internal teams and external partners understand and can execute new or changed processes.
Quality Management & Compliance, Continuous Improvement:
9. Develop and implement the organization’s quality management system (QMS) aligned with ISO standards and internal policies.
10. Define quality objectives and KPIs to monitor performance and compliance.
11. Identify process gaps and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.
12. Apply root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Team Leadership & Development:
13. Coach and develop a team of quality specialists; foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
As our Ideal Quality & Implementation Manager you have:
14. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
15. Proven experience in quality assurance/control and release management within manufacturing, supply chain, or technology environments.
16. (Strong) knowledge of ISO standards and release governance best practices.
17. An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
18. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
19. Fluent in English and Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
20. A deep understanding of release processes and technical environments used within the organization .
21. The ability to anticipate risks and manage dependencies across teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders .
22. A process-oriented & structured way of working, with a clear focus on consistency and quality. You are able to influence others and convince them of the importance of such an approach.
23. Strong leadership and organizational skills to steer a small team.
24. An eye for continuous improvement and bring consistency to the delivery cadence.
