For our Belgian accounting team, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen the Tomorrowland team. The Finance team is full of energy, drive, and a healthy dose of humor. As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and share responsibility for further developing the accounting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you take on a wide range of challenges and responsibilities:
Daily and Monthly Accounting Processes:
* Daily processing of bank transactions and reconciliation of the correct accounts
* Monthly follow-up of key balance sheet items to ensure the accounting records are fully up to date (suspense accounts, investments, accruals)
* Overseeing and coordinating the full payment cycle and ensuring compliance with the proposed payment schedule
* Acting as the first point of contact for accounts receivable and accounts payable follow-up
Tax Obligations:
* Reviewing, preparing, and filing VAT returns
* Managing the submission of various tax forms, withholding tax, compliance questionnaires
* Preparing and filing corporate income tax returns
Reporting and Analysis:
* Supporting the Accounting Manager with various analyses and ensuring that data is available when needed. You maintain close contact with the controller of your assigned business units.
* Understanding all processes and workflows within the accounting department so you can step in where needed
* Supporting the accounting support team, maintaining an overview of all internal deadlines and objectives
MUST-HAVES:
* Degree in Accountancy–Taxation
* 3+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant
