As a researcher, you will support our ongoing research projects onpersonalized learning systems and mathematics anxiety. You will contribute to the data collection of planned projects and will design and develop activities (e.g., record short informational videos, design workshops) with the goal to create awareness with teachers about mathematics anxiety. Therefore, we are looking for a Dutch-speaking researcher who has the necessary research skills combined with an interest to disseminate research results. More specifically, you will:
7. Review scientific literature to ensure research is grounded in the latest theoretical and methodological developments.
8. Assist in data collection and data-analysis.
9. Communicate findings to both technical and but definitely also non-technical stakeholders through workshops and knowledge clips.
10. Assess the effectiveness of these dissemination initiatives .
11. Participate in the preparation of research papers, reports, and presentations.
The Learning Brain Lab and Itec (Imec) are research groups at the KU Leuven campus in Kortrijk. The Learning Brain Lab focuses on how children and adults acquire new knowledge and develop specific cognitive skills. Itec conducts interdisciplinary research focused on the design, development, and evaluation of personalized and adaptive digital solutions. You will be joining a research project at the intersection of both research groups, more specifically on personalized learning environments and mathematics anxiety in teachers and students.
12. We offer a full-time employment. The appointment will be for 1 year initially and can be extended based ona positive evaluation and available funding. Possible avenues for working toward a doctoral position over time can also be considered.
