About the Role:

We are partnering with an innovative robotics company that is developing next-generation automated systems for industrial applications.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their software team with an Embedded Software Engineer who is passionate about building reliable, high-performance embedded systems.

You will play a key role in the design, development, and optimisation of software running on advanced robotic platforms, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded software for robotic systems
• Develop and maintain software in C++ within Embedded Linux environments
• Build, customise, and maintain Linux distributions using Yocto and/or Buildroot
• Integrate hardware and software components across robotic platforms
• Support system performance optimisation, debugging, and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, and application software engineers
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and product development roadmaps

Requirements:

• Strong experience developing software in C++
• Commercial experience working with Embedded Linux
• Experience with Yocto and/or Buildroot
• Understanding of embedded systems development and debugging
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
• Fluent English speaking

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Nvidia Jetson platforms
• Knowledge of IoT technologies
• Experience xphnsxz with communication and connectivity protocols
• Exposure to robotics, automation, or autonomous systems
• Fluent Dutch speaking
