Hays Recruitment is looking for a Full Stack Developer for an innovative and fast-growing company active in the media and advertising industry. This organization operates in a dynamic B2B environment and delivers digital solutions that support commercial and operational activities. You will join a small, close-knit team of five people where collaboration, ownership and knowledge sharing are key. The company fosters a people-oriented and entrepreneurial culture, where initiative is encouraged and ideas are valued. As part of an upcoming transformation of its application landscape, the team is expanding to support new and existing projects.
Your new role
As a Full Stack Developer, you will take on a broad and varied role combining development, project work, business understanding and day-to-day application maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys going beyond pure coding and wants to have a real impact on solutions.Your main responsibilities include:
1. Designing and developing modern web applications, mainly on the back end while ensuring a smooth front-end experience
2. Participating in projects from analysis to delivery, including proposing solutions and contributing to technical decisions
3. Translating business needs into functional applications, with a hands-on and pragmatic approach
4. Integrating and optimizing databases (SQL/NoSQL) and APIs
5. Maintaining and improving existing tools, including resolving daily issues and interacting directly with internal users
6. Taking ownership of applications and acting as a point of contact within the team
This is a hybrid role where development represents a large part of the job, complemented by project involvement and application ownership. It is not a position for someone who wants to focus exclusively on coding.
Your profile
You are curious, proactive and motivated to learn. You are looking for a role where you can grow technically while also gaining exposure to business and project aspects.
7. Strong communication skills in English, and French or Dutch
8. For junior profiles: Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar, with at least a first experience (internship is nice)
9. For more experienced candidates: Bachelor's degree with at least a relevant experience
10. Strong academic background in development (full stack or back-end oriented)
11. Knowledge of technologies such as JavaScript/Node.js, Java, .NET or Python
12. Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue
13. Interest in databases, APIs and modern development practices
14. Analytical mindset with the ability to understand business needs
15. Hands-on, autonomous and eager to take ownership
16. Open to a generalist role combining development, analysis and maintenance
