I'm looking for a talented and motivated Java professional for one of my clients in the region of Ghent who is a globally recognized supplier of technical design software. This role involves contributing to the backend development of their web-based Common Data Environment (CDE) and internal systems, working closely with an international team focused on enhancing collaboration in design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with functional analysts, product designers, and frontend teams to develop modern web applications with a strong focus on user experience.
Participate in code reviews and adhere to established development methodologies.
Investigate and resolve application configuration or performance issues.
Propose and implement enhancements to improve product quality and processes.
Requirements:
Strong Java programming skills, including Java 8 or higher, with substantial backend experience.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming, Hibernate, and Spring/Spring Boot .
Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture .
Familiarity with Git (GitHub) and CI/CD principles .
Ability to write clean, structured code emphasizing best practices .
Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team setting.
Self-motivation, initiative, and a strong interest in achieving team objectives.
Expertise in creating and utilizing RESTful APIs .
Fluent in English .
Preferred: Experience with Docker & Kubernetes .
