We are currently seeking a skilled R&D Lab Analyst to join our Lab Services team in Diepenbeek. In this role, you will focus on advancing the development of our SMI device by contributing to formulation development, analytical method development, and product testing while striving to support the laboratory's compliance to ISO and Good Practice (GxP).
This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll directly contribute to developing therapies that improve patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities

Analytical Test Development: Develop and execute analytical methods (e.g., HPLC/UPLC) to support inhalation formulation activities. Including the drafting and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and compliant laboratory practices.
Formulation Support: Conduct experiments to validate scientific hypotheses, focusing on the formulation of solutions and complex drug products.
Data Management and Reporting: Record, analyse, and report experimental results with precision. Present findings to internal and external teams to inform ongoing development.
Product Testing: Perform a variety of tests on inhaler devices, including particle size distribution and quantification of active substances.
Lab Management: Maintain lab equipment and inventory, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A degree in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
* Experience working in GxP environments, preferably GMP, and familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 or USFDA medical device guidance.
* Strong skills in data analysis and statistical methods.
* Prior experience with analytical method development and validation (e.g., HPLC, UPLC).
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across teams.
Additional advantages:
* Proven expertise in formulation science, ideally within inhalation drug delivery or respiratory disease treatment.
* Experience in material science, biologics, or working with recombinant enzymes.
* Knowledge of spray drying, freeze drying, or similar processes.
* Nanosuspension knowledge is beneficial.
