Site IT Manager – Belgium & France

* Location: Walloon Brabant, Belgium, with regular travel to Eastern France
* Industry: Pharmaceutical / Industrial Manufacturing

We are supporting an international industrial company operating in a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in the search for a Site IT Manager responsible for two production sites located in Belgium and France.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, continuity, and evolution of the local IT environment supporting manufacturing, laboratories, and supply chain operations.

The successful candidate will lead local IT teams, coordinate operational IT activities, and act as the bridge between local operations and the global IT organization.

The role combines people management, operational coordination, stakeholder management, and industrial IT exposure within a complex and evolving environment.

Main Responsibilities

IT Operations & Service Delivery

* Ensure the availability, stability, and quality of IT services across manufacturing, laboratory, and supply chain environments.
* Coordinate day-to-day IT operations across both sites.
* Supervise and support local IT technicians and ensure efficient incident and service request management.
* Maintain continuity of critical systems and infrastructure, including backup and disaster recovery considerations.
* Support and coordinate local and global IT infrastructure and application rollouts.
* Manage local IT vendors and external service providers.
* Ensure IT documentation remains compliant with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

* Lead and develop local IT teams across Belgium and France.
* Foster a proactive, service-oriented, and collaborative mindset within the teams.
* Coach team members and support their professional development.
* Improve communication and collaboration between IT, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Laboratory teams.

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership

* Act as the key interface between local business stakeholders and the global IT organization.
* Collaborate closely with site leadership, production teams, laboratories, and engineering departments.
* Translate local operational needs into actionable IT priorities.
* Balance global IT standards with local operational realities and constraints.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders in complex and highly regulated environments.

IT Governance & Continuous Improvement

* Ensure alignment with global IT policies, standards, and security requirements.
* Contribute to the modernization of the IT landscape while maintaining operational continuity.
* Manage and prioritize local IT initiatives and projects.
* Participate in international IT transformation initiatives.
* Support continuous process improvement initiatives across the sites.

Profile

Experience

* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, operations, or site management roles.
* Previous experience within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotech, manufacturing, or process industries is strongly preferred.
* Experience managing IT teams in industrial or production environments.
* Exposure to multi-site environments is considered a strong asset.

Technical Background

The role is not purely technical, but the ideal candidate understands industrial IT environments and can interact effectively with technical and operational teams.

Experience or exposure to the following areas is considered a strong advantage:

* Operational Technology (OT)
* Manufacturing environments
* SCADA / PLC systems
* MES environments
* Laboratory systems
* Industrial infrastructure
* Backup & Disaster Recovery
* Hybrid and legacy environments

Soft Skills

Working Environment

* Strong on-site presence required due to the manufacturing context.
* Maximum one day of homeworking per week.
* Regular travel to the French site (approximately once per month for 2–3 days).
* Standard office hours with availability expected in case of critical incidents.
