At BNP Paribas, our Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform (Madrid and Lisbon) drives accounting, reporting, and transformation projects for the entire EMEA region — and sometimes worldwide.
We’re looking for a Team Leader to lead our financial reporting team in Madrid, ensure the accuracy of the Group’s consolidated financial statements, and act as the go-to expert for complex IFRS and reporting topics.
Your mission
* Lead & inspire: manage, coach, and develop the reporting team, fostering collaboration across countries.
* Ensure reporting excellence: oversee and validate data submitted by EMEA entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with IFRS and Group standards.
* Expert guidance: advise entities on accounting treatments, reporting standards, and regulatory changes.
* Critical analysis: investigate complex transactions and coordinate necessary consolidated adjustments.
* Closing management: plan and oversee quarterly/annual closings, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Key liaison: act as the bridge between regions, Group headquarters, auditors, and regulators.
* Continuous improvement: drive process optimization and transformation initiatives within the finance function.
What we’re looking for
* Master’s degree in Finance, Audit, or Accounting (or equivalent).
* 7+ years in financial/regulatory reporting, audit, or accounting (banking or Big 4 preferred), with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Expert knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 9) and strong financial/accounting analysis skills.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
* Advanced English (French is a plus).
* Proactive, results-driven leader with the ability to inspire and motivate multicultural teams.
