About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Account Director passionate about aligning technology to real-world pharma workflows to spearhead new business growth and expand our presence in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. This role is responsible for building strategic relationships, winning new accounts, and positioning our IT services as a trusted partner in helping pharma organizations leverage cloud, data, and AI to solve their most pressing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* New Business Development – Consistently identify, pursue, and secure new logos within pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations.
* Customer-Centric Engagement – Understand client needs deeply and position tailored solutions that address business and workflow bottlenecks.
* Solution Selling – Leverage consultative and value-based sales methodologies to drive measurable outcomes for clients, with a proven track record of closing complex deals.
* Strategic Account Leadership – Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, including C-level engagement, to develop long-term partnerships.
* Industry Evangelism – Represent the company as a thought leader through conference speaking, white paper development, and industry forums.
* Collaboration & Team Leadership – Partner cross-functionally with delivery and solution teams; if applicable, mentor and lead account or business development teams.
* Market Insights – Track industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory shifts to identify new opportunities.
* Sales Excellence – Meet and exceed revenue, margin, and pipeline development targets.
Qualifications
* Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or top-tier technology sector, with at least 7 years in senior account leadership or business development.
* Strong expertise in cloud, data, and AI technologies and their application to pharma workflows.
* Proven success in solution selling, with a track record of closing multimillion-dollar, complex deals.
* Customer-focused mindset with the ability to align technology offerings to business challenges and measurable outcomes.
* Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related field) required; MBA preferred.
* Prior team leadership experience is a plus.
* Strong executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders across both business and IT.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and thought leadership skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively across regions (EMEA, NA, APAC).
