Carry out planning and scheduling functions in accordance with projectstandards.
Job responsibilities are related to the Heavy Lift and Planning Teams. Included are analysis and evaluation of proposed project execution, resource requirements and potential impacts of heavy lift tasks to the overall construction schedule.
Key Responsibilities and duties:
Review and continued development of the heavy lift project control system including planning, scheduling, and reporting / monitoring. Proactively plan for optimal service cranes utilisation. Specifically manage the day-to-day service crane deployments, the 3-week lookahead and the 3-month plan. Plan and provide work direction as required for the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems and other practices to give Construction Managers means to evaluate and improve the efficiency of their project execution. Provide guidance to Construction Managers in areas of planning and scheduling expertise by analysing and evaluating all pertinent heavy lift data. Discuss, coordinate, and resolve short-term heavy lift planning and scheduling problems with personnel throughout the Company and with contractor organizations. Act as a technical consultant when required. Evaluate / validate the planning and progress information collected from the Heavy Lift Contractor and advise management of exceptions to the plan and potential corrective action and/or impact to the project. Ensure heavy lift contractor compliance with contractual and procedural planning and reporting requirements. Review and evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of planning and scheduling information collected from Heavy Lift Contractor. Advise of significant exceptions and recommend corrective actions. Provide Construction Team any heavy lift data input to the consolidated Project progress reports and schedules. Collect lessons learned during execution to be reported in the project closure report.
Functie-eisen
Degree in Planning, Engineering, or related subject, or equivalent work experience In-depth knowledge of heavy lift processes; cranes and SPMTs Over 10 years’ experience in the heavy lift industry, some exposure to Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Good knowledge of English language, both written and verbal Strong analytical skills
