About the Role:
Are you a seasoned public affairs professional with a deep understanding of EU policies and a robust network in Brussels? We are seeking a Freelance Public Affairs Consultant to drive our policy influence in trade, foreign affairs, and industrial policy. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge policy issues at the heart of the EU, with the flexibility of freelance work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic public affairs plans to influence EU legislation and policies.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, and other key stakeholders in EU institutions.
* Monitor and analyze policy developments, providing timely insights and recommendations.
* Represent our interests in various forums, including meetings, conferences, and working groups.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of public affairs strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in public affairs, lobbying, or related fields within the EU context.
* In-depth knowledge of EU institutions, legislative processes, and policy areas, particularly trade, foreign affairs, and industrial policy.
* Established network of contacts within EU institutions and relevant stakeholder communities.
* Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in other EU languages is a plus.
