Naval Design Engineer – Outfitting & Structural Integration – FR & EN – ALTEN Belgium
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Naval Design Engineer to join our teams and support a major European naval program.
Your role will involve updating existing architectures, integrating new systems, and rethinking layouts under constraints related to weight, structural resistance and available volume.
Your Main Responsibilities
* Perform naval outfitting and layout studies and propose architectural improvements
* Design and modelling using CATIA
* Conduct structural-related work: mass distribution, structural constraints, integration challenges
* Manage your own technical topics and work packages autonomously
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Ensure technical consistency and integration of new systems (surface drones, underwater drones, mission equipment, etc.)
Your Profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience in naval architecture, structural design, or marine engineering
* Mandatory experience in the maritime/naval sector
* Strong skills in naval outfitting/layout, system integration, and CATIA modelling
* Languages: English required, French highly preferred
